We hire people, and we keep them.
Steady routes, consistent hours, and supervisors who show up. If you clean well and arrive on time, there is a path here.
What the job is
Most of our work is evening and overnight cleaning across the tri-state area: offices, banks, schools, and sites a contractor is handing over in the morning. Corridors, offices, restrooms, and floors. Some roles are daytime porter work, on site while the building is in use.
Experience helps but is not required for every role. Reliability is required for all of them. In most of our buildings the work has to be finished before the doors open. There is no version of this job where it gets done tomorrow instead.
What we offer
- Real employment
- Taxes withheld, workers' compensation, and a real paystub.
- A route, not a rotation
- You are assigned to buildings and you keep them. You learn the building and the building learns you.
- Consistent hours
- Schedules that hold week to week, so you can plan childcare and a second commitment around them.
- Supervisors who turn up
- A supervisor is on your site at least twice a week and walks it with you, not a dispatcher who calls after something has gone wrong.
- Training on the equipment
- Floor machines, extractors, and chemical handling. You are not handed a machine and wished luck.
- Somewhere to go
- Most of our supervisors started on a cleaning route. That is the normal path here, not the exception.
Some sites require clearance
Every one of our employees is background-checked. Beyond that, some buildings carry their own screening requirements before you can work in them, schools in particular, and some government sites. That can mean fingerprinting through New York State, registration in a district's own system, or a check specified by the building itself.
We handle that process with you and we cover the cost. It takes time, so we start it early, but it does mean that for some sites the hiring process is not same-week.
